Since 2003 Nick Webb and Associates have administered our accredited ISO 9001 quality system. NW&A were invited to become involved when the Commercial Manager left the business. The first task identified was to reviewed and simplified the existing system making it much more user friendly.
Accreditation has been maintained with the same certification body (Chambers Certification Assessment Services) throughout the process. The overhaul of the system has resulted in its administration now being an external, part time activity, instead of occupying a full time member of staff. We have found that amongst the benefits of the quality system is material traceability; which is essential for the CE marking of product.

We have found this outsourcing solution of the quality function to be far more cost effective that either employing a dedicated quality resource or distracting others from their main task. With NW&A dealing with the quality system, it leaves us free to concentrate on the business.
