LEIGH ENGINEERING & MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS Ltd
As a result of both the Pandemic and BREXIT, here at Leigh Engineering and Management Services Ltd we believe that future trading conditions will become ‘very challenging’.
In order to help the business further develop, a documented quality system was identified as the way forward. The cost however, of formal accreditation to the ISO 9001 was deemed to be prohibitively.
Nick Webb and Associates was identified by one of our supplier as a potential solution. During subsequent contact with NW&A we discussed our requirements and agreed that the best option. This was to be a very basic, non-accredited system. This would assist in the completion of the purchase departments questionnaire. ie… by putting a tick in the appropriate box and thereby allowing us to quote.

This would be at a fraction of the cost of an UKAS accredited Quality System such as BSI or Lloyds.
We now have a bespoke quality manual that includes appropriate quality procedures, flow charts, forms and record templates etc. i.e. all the documents a purchasing department would want to see in order to confirm that we have a functioning Quality Management
System.
We have provided these to potential customers and subsequently received orders. The documents produced represent approximately 50% of those required by a full ISO 9001 system. They are however, sufficient to for the requirements of the purchasing departments questionnaire and it was done at a fraction of the cost of formal accreditation.
Many thanks W&A for this cost-effective solution to the perennial problem of ‘getting through
the door’.
David L. – Director of Leigh Engineering and Management Services Limited.
